2006 Highlights
Dr Who script Dr Who donated his script of the first episode of the
current Dr Who series, signed by actor David
Tennant and
his co-star Billie Piper.
Books etc Signed copies of books donated by over 50 Scottish authors and a first edition of David Livingstone's Missionary Travels and Researches in South Africa. A late 14th century manuscript to a first edition of Spike Milligan's Silly Verse for Kids .
21st Century Scottish Pictures Elizabeth Blackadder, John Houston and Jennifer McRae were three of many Scottish artists who generously donated work to the sale.
Ephemera Rare printed ephemera including The Jones Archive - memorabilia of four generations of a gifted family including letters, photographs and small works of art.
Also... antiques and collectables, records, stamps, postcards, sheet music, toys...
The 2006 sale, held annually to raise funds for for Christian Aid, raised over £113,000.
Sir Brian McMaster, director of the Edinburgh International Festival, was patron.
