On Saturday 2nd September 2006 we're holding a one-day exhibition of handbags in the church.
There are about a hundred bags, ranging from very vintage (1880s) to very modern (post 2000) and including the very, very, very famous. You have to come along to see what we mean.

The exhibition runs from 10am - 5pm on Saturday 2nd September
Entry at the door costs £5 (concessions £3) and you get a glass of fizz and nibbles too.
looking after vintage bags
Two conservators from the Scottish Conservation Studio at Hopetoun have kindly agreed to come along for an hour or so between 11am and noon.
Tthey are experts in textile conservation and will be happy to answer any questions you may have on these subjects or to advise on any vintage bags you would like to bring along. .
