| A Community
of People
St Andrew’s and St George’s
Church is situated in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic
New Town. We are a very diverse community, with members from
all across the city and visitors from far and wide.
Our minister
Our Minister is Roderick Campbell, who has
worked overseas in Kenya and the Sudan, as well as in parish
ministry in Scotland.
“Though I am the minister of St Andrew's
and St George's, this is very much a “hands on”
congregation. Lay members share significantly in leadership,
both in worship and in the many activities of outreach and
service.”
Our congregation
Caring for each other draws us together
as a congregation. This can be by spending time with those
who are confined to home, sharing transport to church or simply
by listening to each other.
As well as worshipping together, we can
develop friendships in a range of activities
for different interests and ages. We keep up-to-date with
issues affecting our church and beyond through our quarterly
magazine Inspire.
Making a difference in the city
centre and in the world
We care about the people who live and work
in Edinburgh city centre, and share this concern with neighbouring
churches. We are working together with them to find how best
we can make a difference in the heart of the city.
We care about our world and its people.
Through Christian Aid we are committed to working together
for the world’s poor. We are also taking steps towards
being an Eco-Congregation.
All are welcome in this place
Whether you come to share in worship
or to be involved in any of the activities here, you are very
welcome at St Andrew's and St George's. Come
and visit us!
