this year is renowned Scots artist John Bellany, whose vivid
oils and watercolours are found in galleries and collections
worldwide. He has most generously donated a recent oil painting to the Sale.

rare contemporary memoir of Joseph Bell, the Edinburgh physician
believed to be the inspiration for Sherlock Holmes.
Twenty-first
century Scottish writers A collection of books by contemporary
Scottish writers including Ian Rankin and Alexander McCall
Smith, each book signed and donated to the Sale, was launched on Monday 16th May by best selling children’s
author Julia Donaldson.
